Today the state economic forecast was released and it contains good news. The state has a projected surplus of almost $1.1 billion. After the school property tax recognition shift is repaid, along with a loan from the state airport fund, $825 million remains on the bottom line. …
The Legacy Review Committee has chosen one application cycle for fiscal year 2014. If there are funds left over after the first application cycle, a second cycle may be implemented. The application process is open and applications can be submitted anytime before the deadline.
The first deadline is Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.
Awards will be handed out at the end of February. Projects must begin after the grants are awarded. …
