Due to budget cuts and a decrease in participation, SELCO is discontinuing the Large Print Rotating Collection. The rotating collection was created in August 1987 when Member Libraries relied on this regional service to fill gaps in collection development. Because the purchase of Large Print materials is now more common, a handful of libraries have removed themselves from the rotation, and the participation keeps dropping year to year. Thanks to all the libraries that have participated in the past 24 years!
|| Each year the Friends of the St. Paul Public Library award the Minnesota Book Awards to Minnesota authors, illustrators, and book artists in 8 categories. Categories include children's literature, general non-fiction, genre fiction, memoir and creative non-fiction, poetry, young people's literature, Minnesota, novel and short story. A people's choice award is also given. All Minnesotans can vote on their favorite nominee for the people's choice. Titles for the Book Club in a Bag kits are selected from Minnesota Book Award winners and requests for the kits must be made via email. This project was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.
